Any idea why most Hypnotherapists, life coaches, etc. aren’t making as much money as they could be? Before I tell you why, I want you to just stop for a second and imagine something.
A family is on vacation here in Kauai and want to go out to dinner. They keep on hearing about the Beach House restaurant. Finding the restaurant is a breeze! Google “Kauai Restaurant” and they are the first result. The reviews on Yelp glow brighter than the most romantic sun.
This family walks in the restaurant to check it out. They pick up a menu. Picture this. The finest food. An Amazing wine selection. Not to mention an awesome view of the ocean. Minds are made up. “I’m going to have an amazing experience!” Getting the best service you can possibly imagine. Eating, drinking and being merry.
The bill comes and they don’t even worry about the price! They pay the bill in full and leave a handsome tip. Paying for this level of service and quality is of no concern to them. They know they’re going to get quality. A few months later their friends are planning a trip to Kauai. When they ask what restaurant to go they give them a glowing review of the Beach House.
Now lets imagine another experience.
A family is here on vacation and just want to get some food. Google “Cheap restaurants in Kauai”. Poipu Tropical Burgers shows up at the top. Minds are made up.
Mission = cheap food.
Upon arrival they see the open air restaurant. Slow moving servers. Dirty tables. Some customers look a little pissed. Still it doesn’t them turn around. Remember. Cheap food.
The servers take forever to get the tables. Rude and inattentive. The menus are damn near tossed at them. They check the prices on the menu. They want cheap food. Drinks come 15 minutes later. Ages later the food (or what can barely pass as food).
The food is cold and has a unique taste to it.

They get bad food and horrible service. Needless to say the server gets a bad tip. The only recommendations out of their mouth is “STAY AWAY FROM POIPU TROPICAL BURGERS”.
Now let me ask you something. What kind of Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy customers do you want? Do you want a customer that is looking for good quality or a cheap price.
Market to people that want cheap services. Get people that are cheap with their money. On the other hand. Market to people who are more concerned with quality. Get people that will gladly pay you what you’re worth.
Now this is where you need to make a decision.
“Do I want to market to cheap asses or people who will value my services?”
